1. Overview & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of theScraplift website, mobile application, and doorstep scrap pickup services (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

Scraplift is operated by the founders and team based in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Scraplift.

2. Definitions

• "Service" – The doorstep scrap pickup, digital weighing, and instant payment services provided by Scraplift.
• "User" / "You" – Any individual or entity using the Service.
• "Items" – Scrap materials, old appliances, electronics, batteries, and other recyclable goods listed on our platform.
• "Agent" – A Scraplift-verified and trained representative performing doorstep pickups.
• "Platform" – The website scraplift.in and associated mobile applications.

3. Service Description

Scraplift provides a tech-first, doorstep scrap collection service across Ludhiana, Punjab, covering 74+ pincodes. Our service includes:

• Online booking via the Platform.
• Free doorstep pickup by verified, uniformed Agents.
• Digital weighing with calibrated, transparent scales.
• Instant payment via UPI, bank transfer, or cash upon acceptance.
• Certified recycling through CPCB-authorised recyclers.

We reserve the right to refuse any Item that is hazardous, illegal, or not in the categories we accept.

4. User Obligations

By using our Service, you agree that:

• You are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
• You own the Items you are selling, or you have explicit authorisation from the owner to sell them.
• All Items are free from hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, radioactive, biohazard).
• You provide accurate and complete information about the Items during booking (brand, condition, approximate weight, etc.).
• You allow the Agent safe and reasonable access to the Items at the time of pickup.
• You will not misuse the Platform, engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to manipulate the valuation process.

5. Valuation & Payment

All Items are valued based on the following process:

• Digital Weighing: Items are weighed using a certified digital scale in your presence. This ensures complete transparency.
• Transparent Rate Card: Rates are published on our Platform. The final quote is based on the actual weight and condition of the Items.
• Payment: You may accept or reject the final quote. If accepted, payment is made instantly via UPI, bank transfer, or cash. Once payment is made, title of the Items transfers to Scraplift.

All valuations are final and binding upon acceptance by you.

6. Agent Conduct

Our Agents are background-checked, uniformed, and carry scannable ID badges. They are trained to:

• Arrive on time at the scheduled pickup window.
• Conduct all weighing and inspection in your presence.
• Handle Items with care and professionalism.
• Provide a receipt or payment confirmation after the transaction.

If you feel an Agent has violated these standards, please report immediately to our support team at support@scraplift.in.

7. Privacy & Data Security

Your privacy matters to us. When you sell laptops, phones, or other data-storing devices:

• We offer secure data wiping on the spot.
• You can request physical destruction of the device in your presence.
• We do not access, copy, or retain your personal data.

8. Intellectual Property

The content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the Scraplift brand — is the exclusive property of Scrapliftand is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scraplift and its founders, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
• Damage caused by the Items themselves (e.g., leaks, breakage, etc.).
• Any claim arising from the condition of the Items after they are handed over to the Agent.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount paid to you for the specific Item in question.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Fraudulent or illegal activity.
• Misuse of the Platform or Agents.

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the Service. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
• Sending an email notification (if we have your email address).

Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
